Affected Versions: Neuralyst 1.40 to 1.40b
Symptoms: Performing a “Set Genetic Parameters” command on a neural network configuration that includes a setting of “Rows per Pattern” larger than 1 or that has blanks in the input or target data set, sometimes results in a General Protection Fault in the module NEUR14.DLL at an address near 0007:08xx or a freeze-up or exception error occurs on Macintosh systems.
Problem: Neuralyst fails to correctly account for offsets or blank data when allocating space for one of the internal buffers which holds copies of the neural network data when the Genetic Supervisor is initialized. Solution: Neuralyst V1.40c corrects this problem.
